I Can’t See Anything, I Can’t Hear Anything, I Can’t Say Anything. 2024
This is a dynamic composition.
At the top of the painting, we see three playing-card queens who symbolically prevent one another from perceiving the world: one covers another’s eyes, the second covers her ears, and the third covers her mouth.
These gestures reflect how people can suppress each other, limiting the ability to feel, hear, and speak the truth.
It’s a timeless theme — the way external pressure and manipulation restrict our perception and personal freedom.
In the lower part of the canvas, a special role is given to the Queen of Spades.
She stands apart from the others, yet her fate is no less tragic.
She has voluntarily given up the ability to see, hear, or speak — retreating instead into her mobile phone.
Her withdrawal can be interpreted either as an act of protest or as a symbol of surrender to the chaos of the world depicted around her.
Pay attention to the dynamic background — the flames, the distorted lines — all of it creates an atmosphere of chaos, anxiety, and emotional tension, emphasizing how tragic it is to reject full engagement with the world.
This painting is not only a visual jolt, but also an invitation to reflect on the nature of human interaction and self-imposed limitations.
You’ll also notice, in the lower left corner, a coded inscription: the title of the painting, hidden in French.
